choose your path.jpeg

Every day of your life can bring endless new possibilities. Art Therapy can help you to start to believe that possibilities of making a change do exist & are possible. Taking time to dwell in the possibilities can offer many things: to rethink a situation or allow self-inquiry, a chance to rewrite your story, clear away our judging part of our personality, and the realisation that we are deserving of change!

The Mental Health Benefits of Art Therapy processes allow you to choose your own path of change and are a great accompaniment to other traditional methods and treatments. Art Therapy can address & manage negative behaviours helps with managing anxiety, reduces your stress level, processes unwanted thoughts and emotions, and importantly promotes self-esteem & self-awareness.

  • Self-awareness: Through creating art can help you visually acknowledge and become aware of feelings & issues that have arisen during the art process of creating.

  • Self-esteem: Acknowledging your accomplishments & achievements gives you the power to think positively and with a confident lens.

  • Alleviation of built-up emotions: This is where Art Therapy weaves Its magic and provides a platform to allow a healthy outlet for expressing yourself unjudged. In Art Therapy, instead of focusing on the spoken word like other therapies, the art you create during the therapeutic process represents what is unspoken by letting go of emotions and accepting.

  • Path to positive management: It is difficult when you're dealing with depression, anxiety or PTSD, this can colour your day to day emotions and behaviours, and can be very debilitating. Creating in the present moment through the art processes will promote, expression, new feelings and thoughts of positivity. Creating a new path to living with a healthier mind & body.

So, I dare you to dwell in the possibilities and give Art Therapy a go

Share if you would like to, I would love to hear from you.

Take care for now.
